Troop Meeting April 16, 2009

There were 17 Scouts who attended our troop meeting last night at the Wanship LDS Meetinghouse. We assigned Donavon Robertson and McCade Crandall as temporary patrol leaders and each patrol created a name and cheer; the Bears and the Pirates respectively. The parents judged the patrol yells... I'm not sure, but I think the parents yelled louder than the scouts!

The scouts participated in Pioneering skills that included whipping rope ends, lashings and making ropes. All these skills will be used as Jamboree Troop 604 participates in the Scout-O-Rama on May 2nd at the Sandy Expo Center on State Street and 9400 South. Be sure to invite friend and family to the event. Tickets are $5.00 per family and if the scouts sell them they can keep $2.00 per ticket for their Jamboree Fund.
A roster of when each scout needs to man the exhibit booth will be forthcoming.
On the fund raising front... Kolby Lews had a great battery sales success with $810 sold, Brian Staley sold $515 worth and Jaden Hansen sold $510 worth of batteries. Kolby and Jaden are looking pretty happy here. They keep 50% for their efforts... Who says its too hard to raise money for the Jamboree?

You can still sell batteries, pizza, and portraits. Just contact Telaina Lewis at 801.831.0255 or at telaina@precisionbody.com . A big thank you to her and all the others who have helped on these fundraisers. Yes, that's Telaina's smiling face, and hopefully she'll keep smiling through all this fundraising activity!

David Braithwaite, Bruce R. Hough, and Chris Hansen mugging for the camera. Chris Robinson didn't wear his uniform so instead of a picture he did push-ups!
Until next time, Good Scouting....
P.S. If you subscribe to this blog you will receive notice by e-mail when it is updated. Thanks!
